Cadet Glider Orientation Flights

Scheduling glider orientation flights is handled separately in the two divisions. See the documents below for details on how to schedule at each site.

Cadet/Senior Flight Instruction

Cadet and senior member glider flight instruction is allowed. Cadet/senior flight instruction is available by individual flight instruction coordinated through your wing project officer and/or the activity site coordinators. Cadet flight training is also available at one of NER's one-week summer glider academies.

Payment for training flights

The pilot must pay by check for the flight in accordance with the published NER Aircraft Flying Hour Rates. If a commercial tow is used, the pilot will pay the tow operator directly, not the NER.
