Mission Aircrew School

Mission Scanner Track:  This track will give the student the minimum academic knowledge and practical experience required for a Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Mission Scanner (MS) listed in the MS SQTR 

 

Student Prerequisites:

Cadets

Seniors

Age 18 or older

Mitchell Award or higher for cadets

Completed GES Training, OPSEC &

Aircraft Ground Handling Training

(Log into EServices for AGH training)

Completed ICUT training

Prior Encampment Required

Completed Level One and CPPT Training

Completed IS100b & IS700a.

Wing Approval

Airborne Photographer Track:  This track will give the student the minimum academic knowledge and practical experience required for a CAP Airborne Photographer (AP) SQTR.

Student Prerequisites:

Cadets

Seniors

Age 18 or older

Mitchell Award or higher for cadets

Completed GES Training, OPSEC, Qualified Scanner,

& Aircraft Ground Handling Training

(Log into EServices for AGH training)

Completed ICUT training

Prior Encampment Required

Completed Level One and CPPT Training

Completed IS100b & IS700a.

Wing Approval

 

Mission Observer Track:  This track will give the student the minimum academic and knowledge practical experience required for a CAP Mission Observer (MO) listed in the MO SQTR.

Mission Pilot Track: This track will give the student the minimum academic knowledge and practical experience required for a CAP Mission Pilot (MP).  The student will obtain enough knowledge to complete the academic knowledge and demonstration tasks listed in the MO and MP SQTR.  If time permits the MP may complete the CAP Form 91 Mission Pilot check evaluation, with their MAS Instructor and with their respective Wing’s approval.

Student Prerequisites:

Pilot Track

Observer Track

Applicant must be 18 years old by start of training

Completed GES, OPSEC &

Aircraft Ground Handling training.

Completed ICUT training

Must have completed IS100b & IS700a.

Mitchell Award or higher for cadets

Qualified Mission Scanner

A current CAP Form 5 check ride in either C172 or C182

200 hours PIC preferred, 175 hours PIC time minimum required prior to attending the school

50 hours Cross Country time prior to attending the school (entered in SQTR in Ops Quals in eServices)

Wing Approval

Course Specialty SQTR must have Wing Commander Approval for Prerequisites before attending the school!
