Northeast Region is currently seeking a NER FEMA Training Coordinator:

As the Civil Air Patrol and Northeast Region (NER) become more ingrained in the National Response Framework and the Incident Command System our member will have increasing access to and a need to attend the ever expanding FEMA training courses.  With this expanding access and demand, NER is in need of a FEMA Training Coordinator.

What does the NER FEMA Training Coordinator do?

Training Coordinator responsibilities include communicating with Wing’s and members to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for Wings and individuals. NER FEMA Training Coordinator will be responsible for managing, coordinating and helping to schedule all advanced level FEMA training programs.

NER FEMA Training Coordinator Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinating training plans and schedules
  • Marketing available training opportunities to member and providing necessary information
  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Ultimately, the role of the training coordinator is to oversee all advanced FEMA training within NER.

This position will report to the NER Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations.
