New Equal Opportunity (EO) Training Requirement

All members are required to complete Equal Opportunity Training online NOT LATER THAN 31 May 2009. NOTE: Your Wing may require completion of this training at an earlier date. New members joining CAP will receive this training as part of their Level 1 training. All current members who have not taken the Equal Opportunity training can do so online by clicking on this link.

At the end of the training, you can choose to agree or disagree with the terms of the training. This last step is done online, and the training material will give you instructions on how to do this. Added 23 Feb 2009

Professional Development Winter Update

The new Level 1 and Fast Start are in the field.

The new SLS and CLC will be reviewed in meetings on 18 and 19 January at
National Headquarters. A number of the members of the National Professional
Development Committee will appraise the instructional material, student
handouts, slides, etc for the new course.  When the material is polished it
will be field/beta tested. Two NER wings have volunteered to test the
material. Once the results analyzed and any adjustments made we hope to have
it in the field by late spring/early summer.

The decision to drop AFIADL 13 will not be addressed for a long time. First
the new SLS and CLC must run smoothly. Some of the AFIADL 13 material may be
picked up in RSC. The RSC curriculum review is set for 2008. Once that is
settled we can turn to the decision about dropping the 13.We will still be
doing the 13 for a while (it is still an optional substitute for COS, for
example and is still required for Level 2. My advise is to continue to
enroll people in AFIADL 13. You don't want to hold up promotions and you can
always dis-enroll if we drop it tomorrow.

The COP has been renamed the General Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., Award (took
effect on 1 Oct; all of the certificates have been updated for those
completing Level II requirements on or after 1 October).
